Samara Mahindra is the Founder and CEO of CARER – India’s first personalized integrative oncology company that provides customized nutrition-based integrative therapies for cancer patients. Samara decided to launch CARER because of her personal experience of losing her mother to cancer. During the time she lived as a caregiver, she found a major gap in the cancer care journey of a patient. In her view, “Cancer care today goes well beyond just conventional medical treatment. It’s about integrating both, non-clinical therapies such as customized nutrition, physical therapy, and mental well-being, along with clinical treatments to drastically improve the overall quality of life and expedite recovery.” Thus, aiming to address this gap in cancer care, Samara started CARER.
CARER is India’s first personalized integrative oncology company that provides customized nutrition-based cancer therapies proven to improve the quality of life of patients by decreasing the side effects of cancer treatment and helping them heal better. Led by visionary cancer-nutrition proponent Samara Mahindra, CARER’s nutritional therapy programs are built using a unique algorithm based on scientific evidence with global nutrition guidelines and are endorsed by leading oncologists in India and America. CARER, headquartered in Bangalore and established in 2018, has evolved into a technology-driven patient-centric cancer care provider and serves the needs of hundreds of patients, the one-medical fraternity as well as cancer-focused pharmaceutical majors.
